We have a number of health & fitness programs available to our members.

Basic Wilderness First Aid (Special Class)

Basic Wilderness First Aid is an intensive 8-10 hour course for those who are involved in wilderness recreation. This course may also meet the needs of volunteers and professionals who lead groups on short trips in relatively low risk situations.

Note: Participants must already possess a current CPR & First Aid certification.

Zumba Fitness (New)

Dance away your worries and your inches! Groove to the fusion of high energy and motivating latin and international music such as Salsa, Merengue, belly dancing, Bollywood and others. It’s the “Be yourself” workout that is fun and easy to do.

Ages: 13 and up
Dates: 6 Week Sessions, starting 1/12/10 and 2/23/10
Times: Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30pm
Fees: $60/session (YMCA Membership Required)

Zumbatomic (New)

Kids love Zumba too! With this class we incorporate dance, games, interaction and fun between kids. Kids are encouraged to express themselves through dance using Zumba format. Performance for family on 6th week.

Ages: 4-12 Years Old
Dates: 6 Week Sessions, starting 1/12/10 and 2/23/10
Times: Tuesdays, 5:30-6:15pm
Fees: $30/session (YMCA Membership Required)

Youth Swim Lessons:

Our swim lessons are run during the summer months and provide a fun and safe way for your child to learn how to swim. Every swimmer will learn aquatic skills appropriate to their age and individual skill level. Each session includes ten 30 minute lessons and meets every Monday through Friday for two weeks.

Ages: We provide lessons for children 6 months and older.

Sessions: Each Session is 2 weeks.

CPR & First Aid Training:

Our CPR/First Aid classes are held on the first Saturday of each month. The class is certified through the American Safety & Health Institute and includes both Adult and Pediatric CPR. Pre-registration is required.

Youth Karate & Self Defense:

This program combines safety awareness education with self defense instruction in a fun, structured, environment. Students are placed into classes according to their age and ability level.

Ages: 5-13 years
Locations: Central Park YMCA Facility, Windrows Elementary (R.C.)
Fee: $5 per lesson in 8 week sessions

Pom Pom Cheerleading & Drill Team:

Perform year-round in parades, shows, and competitions. Girls and boys ages 5+ are invited to learn all three skills and join an award winning organization. This class will give you an edge for team and school tryouts.

Locations: YMCA Central Park Facility, Southridge Middle School (Fontana), Fontana Middle (Fontana), David W. Longs (Fontana)
Fee: $35 for 8 weeks, sessions ongoing

Financial Assistance:
Financial Assistance is available to assist families who qualify in managing the cost of program fees. Applications can be obtained from all West End YMCA branches.
